Donetsk, Mar 18 – DAN. Ukrainian forces violated the ceasefire 53 times this week expending nearly 500 rounds, said DPR representative at the Joint Centre for Control and Coordination (JCCC) Ruslan Yakubov.
“From March 11 to March 17, 53 ceasefire violations were recorded; the total number of shells fired on the DPR is 499, or 17 ammunition boxes, or 0.84 tons.”
Over this period, 49 mortar rounds of 82 mm and 120 mm caliber were fired, one house sustained damage.
The JCCC said that in the past 24 hours Kiev forces violated the ceasefire ten times, firing 80-plus shells.
A new recommitment to the ceasefire in Donbass has come into force on Friday, 1.01 a.m. GMT +3, after the security working group of the Contact Group had agreed to it on the previous day.
