Donetsk, May 8 – DAN. Ukrainian army shelled a DPR forward “Gorlovka” checkpoint, the town’s mayor Ivan Prikhodko said.
“The Gorlovka forward checkpoint came under small arms fire 30 minutes ago, civilian traffic was halted on the Ukrainian side.”
There were no casualties. As of 11 a.m., 90 vehicles, 15 buses and up to 170 people were queuing at the checkpoint.
There are currently four checkpoints in operation for pedestrian and motor traffic between Ukraine and the Donetsk People’s Republic: Elenovka-Novotroitsk (southwest of Donetsk, southern direction), Mayorsk-Mayorskoye (outside Gorlovka, northern direction), Oktyabr-Gnutovo (DPR south, southern direction) and Aleksandrovka-Maryinka (west of Donetsk, western direction). *ot
