Donetsk, May 13 – DAN. The DPR Head Denis Pushilin performed a patriotic song about Russia at a rally in Donetsk opening a concert to celebrate the Republic’s Day on Saturday.
Pushilin sang Russia Motherland song written by a Donetsk composer Andrey Starintsev.
The patriotic song made the audience break into applause as they released balloons colored as the DPR, LPR and Russian Flags into the air.
Further on, famous Russian artists took the scene and performed in front of the 10,000 audience.
The Republic’s Day is celebrated on May 11, the day when the referendum on the DPR independence took place in 2014. Dozens of events have been organized across the Republic to celebrate it, including a solemn march long the Donetsk main street. *ot
